After CSULB, Oskar Toruno worked as a social worker for Latino Family Institute Inc., the first dually licensed Latino adoption and foster care agency in Southern California. For six years Oskar Toruno fulfilled a Federal grant to find more homes for Latino children, older children, special needs and siblings that are in the foster care system.
Toruno is the epitmone of "average" in film professor terms. The information and advice that he gives on the film industry is valuable, but it seems as if he contradicts himself and STFV a lot when it comes to guidelines, rules, and grading for the films that you need to do. Also rants about unimportant stuff -- just sift out the good things.
