For reasons he isn't keen on discussing, martial arts expert William Lancing (Steven Seagal) quits his government job for a life of solitude off the grid, caring for forest animals and writing to his Polish pen pal, Irena (Ida Nowakowska). When Irena goes missing, Lancing decides to fly to Poland to investigate.
