Ozzie Newsome Jr. (born March 16, 1956) is an American professional football executive and former player who is the executive vice president of player personnel of the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). Newsome was a tight end for the NFL's Cleveland Browns, and was general manager of the Ravens from 1996 to 2018.
Ozzie Newsome was a 4-year starter at end for Alabama 1974-77, a two-time All-Conference selection 1976-1977, and All-America 1977. He stood 6-4, weighed 210, and was Alabama co-captain in 1977. In four years he caught 102 passes for 2,070 yards.
