It's set in a colorful park on the northern side of San Francisco in the Marina District. It's one of my favorite places to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the city.

The exposition was sometimes referred to as The Domed City, because of the many buildings with curved-dome tops, including the Palace of Fine Arts, Festival Hall, the Manufacturers Palace, Liberal Arts Palace, the Palace of Horticulture and the Palace of Varied Industries.
Palace of Fine Arts. A monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. One of only a few surviving structures from the Exposition, it is the only one still situated on its original site.
