Paradise in Harlem plot "Greatest Colored Cast Ever Assembled in One Picture" Lem Anderson is a comedian whose dream of performing is shattered when he witnesses a criminal settlement. He is forced to leave town and becomes a drifter, addicted to alcohol. When he gets the chance to play in the play 'Othello', he returns to Harlem.
