Martini's mother, Patricia (Dunne), was a private investigator and parole officer, and his stepfather, Stuart Margolin, is a director and actor. As a teen, Martini attended and played football at Santa Monica High School as a kicker. A hamstring pull prevented him from trying out for the Seattle Seahawks and he turned his attention to acting.
