Oct 12, 2021 · Patrick Shih is a new faculty member at UC Berkeley, where he teaches and conducts research in synthetic biology. He earned his degrees from UC San Diego and UC Berkeley, and his research interests are engineering plants for novel applications and studying the evolution of metabolisms over geological timescales.
