Paul Desmond (born Paul Emil Breitenfeld; November 25, 1924 – May 30, 1977) was an American jazz alto saxophonist and composer and proponent of cool jazz. He was a member of the Dave Brubeck Quartet and composed that group's biggest hit, " Take Five ".

- Two Of A Mind – Paul Desmond & Gerry Mulligan (1962, RCA Victor) Desmond unites his mellow alto playing with baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan. This twelve-song album is the second recording of these jazz legends, the first being in 1957.
- Take Ten by Paul Desmond (1963, RCA Victor) Guitarist Jim Hall joins Desmond in this collaborative effort. The rhythm section features bassists Eugene Wright (track 1) & Gene Cherico (tracks 2-8) alongside and Connie Kay on drums.
