Apr 18, 2024 · Pearson’s Falls and Glen is a 275-acre botanical preserve in Polk County near the mountain towns of Saluda and Tryon. The preserve features a beautiful forest, spring-fed streams, and a hike that leads to a gorgeous 90-foot waterfall. The Tryon Garden Club manages this natural space.
Pearson's Falls is located in the foothills of Western North Carolina off Hwy. 176 between Tryon and Saluda. This wildlife and bird sanctuary comprises 268 acres (108 ha) of native forest, granite, spring-fed streams and a moderate 1/4 mile trail to a 90-foot (27 m) waterfall.
Pearson’s Falls and Glen is a botanical park with many rare native plants. Therefore, we don’t allow pets of any kind except registered and leashed service dogs. Swimming or Wading Are Not Allowed. The waterfall and creek run fast with many slippery rocks and unsafe areas.
