Mar 15, 2013 · Scriptwriter Peter Meyerson, who co-wrote the pilot episode of The Monkees and helped develop Welcome Back, Kotter passed away on Monday (March 11th) at the age of 82, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He wrote or co-wrote eight episodes of The Monkees and 24 episodes of Welcome Back, Kotter.
Peter Meyerson was born on 12 July 1931 in The Bronx, New York, USA. He was a writer and producer, known for Welcome Back, Kotter (1975), Captain Nice (1967) and He & She (1967). He was married to Julia Russell, Max Goldenson and Nurit Wilde. He died on 11 March 2013 in Newport Beach, California, USA.
