Along Jefferson Ave. on Detroit’s east side, an iconic building stands out. It’s Pewabic Pottery, and its’ been making beautiful pottery for more than a century in the Motor City. Pewabic was founded in 1903 and is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. The studio is on the National Historic Register of Places.
