Pier Angeli (19 June 1932 – 10 September 1971) was an Italian actress. She was known for her role in the 1951 movie Teresa, for which she won a Golden Globe Award. She had one son with Vic Damone, her first husband, and another son with Armando Trovajoli, her second husband. She was born in Cagliari, Sardinia.
Angeli spent most of the 1960s shuttling between Europe and the US, but at the dawn of the 1970s she settled in Beverly Hills. On the morning of September 10 1971 her housemate found the 39-year-old dead from an overdose of barbiturates.
