- Villa Savoye. You can’t overstate the impact that this mansion had on modernist architecture. The Villa Savoye was built at the turn of the 1930s, designed by Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret as a rural getaway for a wealthy Parisian couple.
- Collégiale Notre-Dame. Poissy’s stunning church dates to the 12th century and had chapels added in the 1400s. But by the 1800s the building was in disrepair, and the man hired for the renovation was none other than Viollet-le-Duc.
- Musée du Jouet. At the time of writing this museum is closed for refurbishment, but will reopen in 2018. The venue is the magnificent fortified gatehouse of the 14th-century Saint-Louis Royal Priory.
- Parc Meissonier. This park is named for Ernest Meissonier, a 19th-century painter and sculptor who won fame for his historical depictions of Napoleon.
