Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester (Henry William Frederick Albert; 31 March 1900 – 10 June 1974) was a member of the British royal family. He was the third son of King George V and Queen Mary. He served as Governor-General of Australia from 1945 to 1947, the only prince to hold the post.
Prince Henry died on 10 June 1974 at the age of 74. He was the last surviving child of King George V and Queen Mary. He was buried in the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore. His second son, Prince Richard, inherited the title of Duke of Gloucester.
