The Promenade des Anglais is a vast paved promenade along the seafront of Nice, named after the English expat patrons who paid for it in 1822. It runs for 4km and offers a dedicated lane for cyclists and skaters, as well as landmarks like the Hôtel Negresco, the Palais de la Méditerranée and the iron sculpture La Chaise de SAB.
