Promise. (Massacre album) Promise is the second studio album by American death metal band Massacre, released on July 23, 1996, through Earache Records. Massacre vocalist Kam Lee rejoined the band in 1993 after leaving for a year during a tour in the United Kingdom when guitarist Rick Rozz approached him for a new album to record.

Massacre was one of the bands that typified early 90's Florida death metal, but didn't do much else. From Beyond has its fans and the album itself is decent, if a bit average. Rather than attempt to develop that style any further, they made a bad decision that was all too common among established metal bands in the 1990s, they went groove.
