Quesnel / kwɪˈnɛl / (Kee-nel in French) is a city located in the Cariboo Regional District of British Columbia, Canada. Located nearly evenly between the cities of Prince George and Williams Lake, it is on the main route to northern British Columbia and the Yukon. Quesnel is located at the confluence of the Fraser River and Quesnel River.

Quesnel, town, south-central British Columbia, Canada. It lies at the confluence of the Quesnel and Fraser rivers, 411 miles (661 km) north of Vancouver. The river and town site (Quesnellemouth until 1864) were named for Jules Maurice Quesnelle, who accompanied Simon Fraser’s exploring party in 1808.
