Baginda mendapat pendidikan rendah di Anderson School Ipoh dan Anglo Chinese School Teluk Intan dan mendapat pendidikan menengah di Anderson School, Ipoh sebelum melanjutkan pengajian di Universiti Malaya dengan memperoleh Ijazah Kesenian pada tahun 1965.
