The Films of Ralph Bakshi. Ralph Bakshi is a living legend in the animation world, being among the first to introduce mature content and true independent spirit into animated features, as well as a pioneer of rotoscope technology.
He is well known for such films as Wizards (1977), The Lord of the Rings (1978), American Pop (1981), and Fire and Ice (1983). In 1987, Bakshi returned to television work, producing the series Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, which ran for two years.

- 'American Pop' (1981) After losing his father to a pogrom, Zalmie (Jeffrey Lippa) and his mother immigrate to America. He is drawn to the music industry but is unable to become a singer due to personal tragedy.
