Nov 8, 2005 · Reginald Owen as Scrooge and Gene Lockhart as Bob Crachet do a superb jobs. The supporting cast shines as well. My second favorite version is the 1935 version starring Seymour Hicks. Both are great versions, but this 1938 version edges out the win...for my tastes anyway. Enjoy!!
