Richard Maximilian Ney (November 12, 1916 – July 18, 2004) was an American actor, author, and investment counselor. Life and career [ edit ] Ney was born in New York City, the son of Erwin Maximilian Ney (1893–1968), an insurance salesman, and Charlotte Marie Donaldson (born 1895), who served in World War I as yeoman, first class, USNRF. Richard Ney (1916-2004) was an actor who played Greer Garson's son in Mrs. Miniver (1942) and later became a financial expert and best-selling author. He predicted the 1962 stock market crash and was a frequent talk-show guest and host.
