Synopsis. Dr. Donald Stanton is director of a secret U.S. government project designed to put the first human into space. After an unmanned test rocket returns to Earth badly damaged by cosmic rays, members of Stanton's team, including scientist Dr. Jane Flynn, discuss ways to create a shield against the rays.
Summaries. Three men are assigned by the Office of Scientific Investigation to man rocket ships to outer space and attempt to capture a meteor. In an attempt to discover the composition of meteors, three astronauts are sent out into space in three specially designed rockets. Their mission is to capture a meteor and bring it to Earth.
