Robert Montgomery (/ m ɒ n t ˈ ɡ ʌ m ər i /; born Henry Montgomery Jr.; (May 21, 1904 – September 27, 1981) was an American actor, director, and producer. He began his acting career on the stage, but was soon hired by MGM.
Robert Montgomery was a versatile and popular Hollywood star who also directed and produced films. He was the father of Bewitched actress Elizabeth Montgomery and a former president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Robert Montgomery was a famous actor, director and political activist in Hollywood and Washington. He starred in films with Norma Shearer, John Wayne and Greta Garbo, and directed Lady in the Lake.
