Sir Roger de Mortimer, 2nd Earl of March, 4th Baron Mortimer of Wigmore, KG (11 November 1328 – 26 February 1360) was an English nobleman and military commander during the Hundred Years' War. Mar 29, 2024 · Biography. Roger was a Marcher Lord. He led the baronial opposition to Edward II's favorites (1320-22) and was imprisoned before fleeing to France. There he became the lover of Edwards Queen Isabella with whom he secured Edward's deposition and murder in 1327.
