Russell David Johnson (November 10, 1924 – January 16, 2014) was an American actor. He played Professor Roy Hinkley in Gilligan's Island and Marshal Gib Scott in Black Saddle.

He was a character actor with more than 150 film and TV credits, including roles in "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" and "The Twilight Zone". He also served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and wrote a memoir about his island experience.
