Samuel was born in Guarulhos, São Paulo. He began singing as a teenager with his friends in the church he used to attend with his family. He participated in several singing and dancing bands. He recorded an album with Junior Wolt, friend and fellow of High School Musical: A Seleção. He participated in the Brazilian musical reality show High School Musical: A Seleção, and was among the 12 finalists to be part of the local version of High School Musical, High School Musical: O Desafio. Along with the cast of the film, he recorded his second album. He toured in late 2008 and began recording the first Brazilian Disney film that premiered in the second half of 2009. He also played the role of DJ in the Brazilian TV show Quando Toca o Sino, which was inspired by the U.S. versions. He currently plays the role of Broduey on the Disney Channel Original Series, Violetta.
