San Jacinto High School was a secondary school located at 1300 Holman Street in Houston, Texas; now part of the Houston Community College Central College, Central Campus. San Jacinto High School was located in the area now known as Midtown. It was a part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD).
Aug 23, 2018 · Long gone but never forgotten, years spent at “San Jac” constituted a formative experience fondly recalled by two generations of Jewish Houstonians. San Jacinto High School opened in 1926, at 1300 Holman, on the grounds of what previously had been South End Junior High School.

Jul 6, 2018 · South End Junior High became a senior high school in 1923, and in 1926 its name was changed to San Jacinto High School. Houston Junior College, predecessor to the University of Huston, began offering night classes at San Jacinto High School in 1927. An east wing containing 20 classrooms, a boys' gymnasium, and lunch room was built in 1929.
