Tigers’ right-hander Sawyer Gipson-Long will undergo internal brace surgery on Monday to repair the UCL in his right elbow. The 26-year-old hurler injured his forearm while rehabbing from a left groin strain. He’ll now miss the entire 2024 season — and likely the start of the 2025 campaign as well — while recovering from the procedure.
