Jesus Brings Revelation to the Nations. Now we turn briefly to Simeon's farewell to the world (2:29–35). The angel had said, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased." Now Simeon, a man of great faith in God's consolation, sees Jesus and is ready to die in peace.
