Standing at one end of The Ridge, the neo-Gothic Christ Church is an imposing landmark on Shimla's skyline. Built by the British in 1857, its interior is plain in appearance except for some splendid stained-glass windows at the eastern end. Amongst these, the chancel window was designed by Lockwood Kipling, the father of Rudyard Kipling.
