Along with appearing in over 350 Malayalam films, he has also acted in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films.
Siddique Ismail (25 March 1954 or 1955 – 8 August 2023) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter and actor who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema. He made his directorial debut with the Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking (1989). His screenwriting debut came with the Malayalam film Pappan Priyappetta Pappan (1986).

Aug 9, 2023 · Malayalam director and screenwriter Siddique, well-known for directing Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer 'Bodyguard' in 2011, passed away on Tuesday at Amrita Hospital in Kochi. He was 63. The official statement released by the hospital stated that the film-maker suffered a severe heart attack on Monday while he was undergoing treatment.
