On April 26, 2007, it was reported that, with a renovation project underway, the stadium was renamed as Skelly Field at H. A. Chapman Stadium after the primary benefactor of the renovation.

A recent round of renovations came on April 26, 2007, which also included the stadium being renamed Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium after the primary benefactor of this latest renovation. Oct 27, 2020 · The stadium first opened in 1930 as Skelly Field, later was named Skelly Stadium and in April 2007 received the name of H.A. Chapman Stadium. The stadium underwent a major facelift in the summer of 2008 and on September 20, 2008, Tulsa opened the renovated stadium with a 56-14 victory over the New Mexico Lobos.
