George Carroll, better known as Slaine, is an American rapper and actor. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, where he spent his childhood and teenage years, Carroll moved to New York City in the mid-1990s, where he adopted the moniker of Slaine and started to rap and record hip-hop.
Sláine is a barbarian fantasy adventure series based on Celtic myths and stories that first appeared in 1983, written by Pat Mills and initially drawn by his then wife, Angela Kincaid. Most of the early stories were drawn by Massimo Belardinelli and Mike McMahon.

Aug 16, 2023 · A new edition of the influential graphic novel Sláine: The Horned God, featuring brand new scans and a slipcase, will be released in 2024 to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The paperback and the slipcase will be produced using pages from the original film, scanned from the 2000 AD archive, and will be available in a 355mm by 270mm format.
