The true solution to the redirect loop in Chrome. The problem is that slither.io only has a http verison, however chrome will try to upgrade to https. Then slitherio downgrades to http and thus we have a redirect loop. The solution is simple. go to chrome://settings/security and disable "Always use secure connections".
