Released in 1989 in Europe and Japan only, Snakes 'N' Ladders was original guitarist Manny Charlton's last recording with Nazareth; a slick, sleek slab of Rock. Billy Rankin took on guitar duties for the follow-up, No Jive (1991), one of Nazareth's best long players, and his energy and powerful yet economical playing revitalized the group.

As for the music, it IS Nazareth. Even the liner notes will tell you that Snakes 'n' Ladders is not a good album, as the band members themselves hated it. But there are many strong tracks on the album that you will love.
