Soldier of Orange ( Dutch: Soldaat van Oranje, IPA: [sɔlˈdaːt fɑn oˈrɑɲə]) (released in the United Kingdom as Survival Run [1]) is a 1977 Dutch romantic war thriller film directed and co-written by Paul Verhoeven and produced by Rob Houwer, based on Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema 's autobiographical book of the same name.

What a fucking brilliant language Dutch is. I love it. Soldier of Orange is a two-hour thirty-five-minute WWII epic from Paul Verhoeven about a group of friends at the onset of WWII. It covers an immense amount of ground and the story is full of the usual Verhoeven thriller twists and turns.
