Oct 9, 2020 · Testament’s fourth album, Souls of Black, is 30 years old today! It was the band’s fourth record in four years and was made under rather unusual circumstances. Testament wanted to join Megadeth, Slayer, and Suicidal Tendencies on the Clash of the Titans tour in Europe, but their label insisted on a new album first.
The title track "Souls of Black" is a mid tempo banger that has one of the catchiest choruses in the bands legendary catalog. Last but not least we have the ballad track titled "The Legacy". This is not the first time the band dabbled with more slower ballad type of tunes as the previous album featured one ironically titled "The Ballad".
