St John's Wood is a district in the City of Westminster, London, England, about 2.5 miles (4 km) northwest of Charing Cross.Historically the northern part of the ancient parish and Metropolitan Borough of Marylebone, it extends from Regent's Park and Primrose Hill in the east to Edgware Road in the west, with the Swiss Cottage area of Hampstead to the north and Lisson Grove to the south.
A number of celebrties live in St. John's Wood, including Sir. Paul McCartney's house which is quite famous. Buses and tube access are both very good to central London or North. Swiss Cottage and Baker street are 5 minutes on the bus, where more shops, cinemas, restaurants are also omnipresent.

St Johns Wood is a suburb of North London and is close to Regent's Park. With it's location so close to Central London it is quite sought after. There are LOADS of fancy houses in the area however many are behind fences, high gates and thick bushes. In one street there was a security guard when I visited.
