Looking back, I now have to say that Star Trek: The Motion Picture is my new all time favorite Star Trek movie from that era but it's not for everyone. For me it's nostalgia. The Motion Picture is a Star Trek movie with an often sad and slow climatic buildup that will leave you wondering at the end of it.
