Star Trek V: The Final Frontier opens with the crew of the Enterprise enjoying some well deserved shore leave. Kirk, Spock, and Bones enjoy their time off together by going camping in Yosemite park and this makes for some amusingly cheesy moments.

Instead, I will say that the Blu-ray Disc release of Star Trek V:The Final Frontier is superb and although it's not a pristine transfer it does offer enough improvements in both clarity and colour reproduction to make it a worthwhile purchase or upgrade from the DVD release.

The whole script is based on an unsuccessful space travel in search of the creator of all things. When a script starts from a bad idea it is lost, and this case proves this theory.
