    Larry is a deaf mute ex-con who lives in a local half-way house. After being booked by Starsky and Hutch for a minor offense, Larry becomes the pawn in a series of robberies that all point to him. Convincing themselves of Larry's innocence, the detectives swing into action to find the true culprits behind the crimes.

The other interesting effect of the forty-year age of this show is that Starsky and Hutch know immediately that the priest is an impostor when Dobey relates he is supposed to be a 71-year-old man. I, however, was confused by how that information clued them in. To me, the guy playing the priest could have been 71.
