Oct 20, 2005 · The film stars Ryan Gosling as Henry, an art student at university, who is in crisis. Asked to put out his cigarette on the subway, he stubs it out on his arm. He is seeing a university psychiatrist, but when he turns up for his appointment, a strange man is in her office.
The story is about a Psychiatrist by the name Sam (McGregor) who’s a substitute shrink for Henry (Gosling). He’s in a relationship with a prior patient of his Laila (Naomi). Henry tells Sam that he plans of committing suicide in 3 days. Thus starts Sam’s efforts to get Henry to drop the idea.
