So it was something of a surprise—and then, on second thought, it wasn’t—when the director picked actor Stephen Dorff to star in her fourth feature, tentatively titled Somewhere and set at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont hotel.
With Stephen Dorff’s acclaimed performance in Sofia Coppola’s Somewhere, a starring role in the big budget action-fantasy film “Immortals”, and an eclectic and diverse mixture of upcoming films on the immediate horizon, it may seem to many that Dorff has skyrocketed onto the scene as an “overnight success”. That is far from the truth.
