Jude (Martin Donovan) is sleepwalking through his life as a literature professor. Meanwhile, most of his students are sleeping through his Russian literature courses. But one of Jude's undergrads, Sofie (Mary B. Ward), is markedly different. Spunky and outspoken, Sofie catches Jude's eye, and soon the two start a steamy romance.
