Suzanne Phillips Clauser (August 25, 1929 - April 11, 2016) was an American television writer. She wrote several award-winning television movies, including The Pride of Jesse Hallam and A Girl Named Sooner which was based on her novel of the same name.

Yellow Springs resident Suzanne Clauser is one of that industry's pioneers; her career, after all, was built on a series of scripts she wrote for the classic TV western, Bonanza.
Suzanne Phillip Clauser was born in 1929 and grew up in a suburb of New York City. She attended Indiana University, graduating in 1951 with a degree in literature. Clauser began writing in the early 1960s and sold her first script to television in 1964, a play for the Bonanza series.
