Suzanne Morris grew up in Richmond, VA and lives in Nags Head, NC. She’s predominantly self-taught in Plein Air, or ‘open air’ painting, and paints seascapes, marine, and city scenes. She sought out the best artists and studied with Kevin Macpherson, Scott Christensen, and Charles Sovek.
Suzanne Morris is author and illustrator of the picture book, A Trapezoid is NOT a Dinosaur! (Charlesbridge). She is an artist and designer with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. Her illustrations are made with a fusion of traditional and digital mediums.

Biography. Suzanne Morris was born in Houston in 1944, and grew up in the East End, graduating from Stephen F. Austin High School and attending the University of Houston. In 1963 she married her high school sweetheart, J.C. Morris. They currently reside in Cherokee County, Texas and have one son.
