Symba Berae Smith (born 6 July 1970; age 53) is an actress who played a Sobras bar dancer in the Star Trek: Voyager second season episode "Alliances" and Aluura in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine sixth season episode "Profit and Lace". She was uncredited for the former appearance.
Smith was born in Gulfport, Mississippi and has started her entertainment career as Miss Teen All-American pageant winner in 1989. She moved on and has appeared in television commercials (over ninety, for products such as Budweiser, McDonald's, and Miller Light beer), television series, films, music videos, and stage plays, beside her work as a model. She is probably best known as the Remarkable Mouth commercial voice, which she provided for several years. After winning the spokesmodel category in the casting show Star Search, she resided in Los Angeles and was photographed for over thirty magazines. Smith is still single. She works also as a director and producer for projects such as the comedy show Lana's Pupil.
Among Smith's resume are television guest appearances in series such as The Young and the Restless, Friends (1996), The Bold and the Beautiful (1995-1996), Sliders (1996, starring Jerry O'Connell and John Rhys-Davies and stunts by Shawn Crowder), Veronica's Closet (1998, starring Kirstie Alley and Wallace Langham), The West Wing (2002, with Timothy Davis-Reed, Gina Hecht, Thomas Kopache, and Christian Slater), Will & Grace (2003), Passions (2004), CSI: New York (2004, with Scott Sahadi), and Dexter (2006).
She has also performed, mostly in minor roles, in films such as Last Action Hero (1993), Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994), Beverly Hills Cop III (1994, with Eugene Collier, Jimmy Ortega, Ousaun Elam, Rick Avery, Timothy Carhart, Stephen McHattie, Albie Selznick, and Bob Minor), Once You Meet a Stranger (1996), L.A. Confidential (1997, with James Cromwell and Matt McCoy), and Pissed (2005).
