It was built in the 14th century, and is decorated with Mudéjar elements and beautiful geometric and floral motifs, and inscriptions in Arabic and Hebrew.

The quality of the synagogue restoration and associated museum exhibit are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the government and scholarly community. Unfortunately, the quality of the English language services leaves much to be desired.
