“Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk” is the sixth track on Pink Floyd’s debut album, “The Piper at the Gates of Dawn”. Released in 1967, this song was written by Roger Waters, making it the only track on the album not composed by Syd Barrett.
The title comes from the Bible passage John 5:8 - "Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." What sound like beats at the beginning is a voice saying, "Doctor Doctor." Suggestion credit :
