"Take" is a monotonous slog through dirgeland, telling a story that seems strung out beyond all reason, with flashbacks upon flashbacks delaying interminably the underwhelming climax. Minnie Driver and Jeremy Renner star, and both of their performances would distinguish a better screenplay.
